13 PhD Positions in the EU Horizon 2020 Marie-Skłodowska-Curie Project: MSCA-ETN-POEM

The European Training Network “Participatory Memory Practices. Concepts, strategies, and media infrastructures for envisioning socially inclusive potential futures of European Societies through culture” (POEM) invites applications for 13 PhD fellowships with international focus to be funded by the Marie-Skłodowska-Curie ITN Action as part of the H2020 Programme of the European Commission. POEM is a consortium of high profile universities, acknowledged memory institutions, civil society organizations, and SMEs located in Cyprus, Denmark, Germany, Sweden, and the UK.

The MAG Convention 2018 will take place at the Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv, Ukraine.

The building address is: Kozelnytska St, 2, Lviv, Lviv Oblast, Ukraine, 79000.

The convention will begin in the early afternoon of Wednesday, June 27 and continue until the closing reception on the evening of Friday, June 29.

The Department of German and Russian at Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor (depending on qualifications) of Russian and Russian Studies to begin Fall 2018. This is a one-year appointment. We seek a strong Russian teacher with a record of successful and innovative teaching. The ability to offer Russian literature and culture courses is desirable. The School of Historical and Philosophical Studies (SHAPS), which is a part of the Faculty of Arts, was formed in 2011 comprising the programs of History, History and Philosophy of Science, Philosophy, Classics and Archaeology, The Grimwade Centre for Cultural Materials Conservation, and The Program in Jewish Culture & Society. SHAPS teaches a wide range of subjects across these disciplines and has a large Honours and Postgraduate cohort, and also receives a high level of nationally competitive research grants.

GEOP Research Fellowships for Doctoral and Postdoctoral Candidates, POLIN Museum

POLIN Museum’s Global Educational Outreach Program, supported by the Taube Foundation for Jewish Life and Culture, the William K. Bowes, Jr. Foundation and the Association of the Jewish Historical Institute of Poland, is offering up to four doctoral (three months)  and post-doctoral (five months) fellowships in residence at POLIN Museum and the Emanuel Ringelblum Jewish Historical Institute (ŻIH). The fellowship stipend is $6,000 (for three months) and $10 000 (for five months), payable in Polish Zlotys.

Penn State Erie, The Behrend College is seeking applications for a full-time, one-year, non-tenure track, assistant teaching professor position in European History beginning August 2018. The successful candidate must be an excellent teacher and have received his or her PhD no later than August 2018.
