Pitt Project GO Scholarships for ROTC Students’ Intensive Summer Russian Language Study


About the Program:

The University of Pittsburgh invites Army, Navy/Marine, and Air Force ROTC students from any US college or university to apply for a Pitt Project GO (Global Officers) scholarship for intensive study of 1st- 4th year Russian in Summer 2019. Project GO is sponsored by the federal Defense Language and National Security Education Office (DLNSEO) and administered nationally by the Institute of International Education (IIE).

The dates for MSSR 2019 are June 24th through August 9th.


The program is open to students enrolled in or accepted to a Master’s or PhD program, particularly those interested in careers in government, international organizations, and nongovernmental organizations. Applicants must have advanced proficiency in the Russian language.


The keynote address will be given by Dr. Thomas Graham.

Founded in 2010, Crossroads Eurasia is about complementing your study of the Russian language with a practical hands-on experience.

You can teach English, work as a camp counselor, do translation, or experience Russia at street level via our media / journalism program. Options can be combined.

There are still two vacancies available at our winter camp internship program that we will be running in the delightful countryside just outside Novosibirsk, the administrative capital of Siberia and the centre of Russia. The dates of the program are January 3rd through January 12th, 2019.

ARIT Summer Fellowships for Advanced Turkish Language, 2019

The American Research Institute in Turkey invites applications for fellowships to study advanced Turkish language at Bogazici University in Istanbul.  The program dates, to be confirmed in early spring, run from mid-June  - early August, 2019.  Awards include airfare, tuition, and maintenance stipend.


The deadline for applications is February 1, 2019
