Stanford U.S.-Russia Forum 2017-18

SURF is a platform for Russian and American university students to work together on some of the most important issues our nations face today. Participants travel to Russia for a five-day conference in the fall, conduct collaborative research with their working group peers over the academic year, and ultimately present their work at a capstone conference at Stanford University in the spring. The working group format fosters consensus-building and leverages a cooperation-based approach to produce innovative solutions.

An Intensive course aimed at development / improvement of the Russian language speaking fluency and immersion in Belarusian culture

Summer School in Cinema Human Rights and Advocacy

The Summer School in Cinema Human Rights and Advocacy is a training initiative jointly organised by EIUC and CHRA. The 7-day intense programme is aimed at young professionals wishing to broaden their understanding on the connections between human rights, films, digital media and video advocacy.

Online Summer Pashto Course

The Indiana University Summer Language Workshop and IU’s Center for Languages of the Central Asian Region (CeLCAR) are pleased to announce the addition of an online Pashto language course to the Workshop’s 2017 program. The intensive Introductory Pashto course will be held June 5 – July 28, 2017, and provide students the equivalent of one year of academic instruction in the program and 6-8 IU credits, which can be transferred to other institutions. All participants will pay in-state tuition rates.
