Round-table on Structuralism's First Hundred Years

The Center for the Study of Communication and Society is sponsoring a "round-table prospectus" looking toward the hundredth anniversary in 2016 of the crystallization of structuralism in Ferdinand de Saussure's Cours de linguistique générale.  The distinguished panel of Lenore Grenoble, John Kelly, Thomas Pavel [by proxy], Marshall Sahlins, Haun Saussy, and Lawrence Zbikowski will discuss the nearly hundred-year influence of structuralist thought -- and its critical reactions -- on the hermeneutic and human sciences.
