2/15 UChicagoGRAD talk: Communicating Effectively With Humanities Faculty

Communicating Effectively With Humanities Faculty (PATHS First Year Series)
Thursday, February 15, 4:30-5:30pm, UChicagoGRAD HQ

One of the most significant and yet most challenging issues a graduate student can face is how to develop and maintain positive relationships with faculty. In this PATHS workshop, intended for PhD students in the humanities and humanistic social sciences, we will discuss strategies and best practices for communicating effectively with faculty. We'll focus on when, why, and how to initiate conversations with faculty about topics like forming a dissertation committee and discussing research progress. We'll also share strategies for how to approach difficulties in communicating with faculty. Please RSVP via GRAD Gargoyle (Events > GRAD Events)
