Each Tuesday from May 15-June 12, 2:30-4:30pm, in UChicagoGRAD Fellowships Suite and Conference Room – 3rd Floor of the UChicago Bookstore Building

 

Are you trying to figure out what your next career steps are? Would you like to learn about the career exploration process, both in theory and in practice? Join us for a Career Exploration Series! This series will occur once per week, on Tuesday afternoons from 2:30-4:30pm. You must commit to coming to all 5 sessions. This series is capped at 10 attendees. All sessions will be highly interactive and discussion-based, with short assignments.

 

  • Session 1 - May 15 - Career Exploration Theory Introduction
  • Session 2 - May 22 - Interests, Values, and Skills Self-Assessment
  • Session 3 - May 29 - StrengthsQuest and Transferable Skills
  • Session 4 - June 5 - Goal Setting
  • Session 5 - June 12 - Presentation of Individual Development Plan

This series is open to all graduate students and postdocs, regardless of discipline or program. It may be the most useful for people a few years into their time here at UChicago.
