May is Teacher Appreciation Month!  To express our appreciation, the Oriental Institute and other campus partners hosted a reception and event for classroom teachers and school administrators. Staff from a wide range of K-12 education and outreach offices at the University of Chicago were present. This was an opportunity to explore the premier educational resources and research materials available to teachers at the
University. A thematic tour of the Museum was also included, to explore its world-class archaeological collection. The program included an Artist Talk with Michael Rakowitz about his installation The Invisible Enemy Should Not Exist.

Presenting organizations include: The University of Chicago College Admissions, Neighborhood Schools Program, Center for International Studies, Center for Middle Eastern Studies, Center for East European and Russian/Eurasian Studies, Committee on Southern Asian Studies/South Asia Language and Area Center, Center for Latin American Studies, and the Oriental Institute.
