International House 2018-19 Non-Resident Graduate Fellowships Now Available

University of Chicago graduate students who will be registered for the full academic year are eligible for the award. Fellows are expected to contribute their unique perspectives and interests to the International House community and become fully engaged in the multi-faceted life of the House through a wide array of new activities for UChicago grads offered throughout the year through the Graduate Commons Program.

Open Student Worker Positions at UChicagoGRAD

The UChicagoGRAD Graduate Enrollment Initiatives Office is seeking Graduate Admissions Assistants for Spring 2018 and beyond. The GAA’s main role will be as a project assistant to the Program Coordinator and campus tour guide for prospective students. Responsibilities will include welcoming visitors, answering phones and email, speaking with prospective graduate students, data entry, and assisting with research projects, as well as conducting campus tours for prospective and admitted graduate students.

Higher Education Administration Series: History of University Administration and Introduction to Careers in Higher Education

This first of seven sessions will talk about the history of higher education and how the administration of a university has evolved to be more inclusive and expansive in terms of student needs. The National Endowment for Democracy (NED), a congressionally funded, private, nonprofit grant making organization that works to support freedom around the world, seeks a Program Assistant. This is an entry-level position on our Eurasia regional program team. This position is based in Washington, D.C. The Program Assistant provides day-to-day administrative and programmatic support to the Eurasia program staff. Some of their duties include reviewing grant proposals, organizing meetings, and providing logistical support for staff travel.

Job: Global Events Coordinator at Institute of International Education

The Coordinator, Global Events provides financial, logistical and administrative support to Global Events team in adherence with all client/sponsor, local government and IIE guidelines. The Coordinator, Global Events helps reconcile project budgets, makes travel and other logistical and administrative arrangements, processes payments, reconciles budgets and communicates extensively with various internal and external stakeholders. Using sponsor databases and IIE financial systems, the Coordinator provides financial and logistical support for all types of projects.

Student Volunteers Needed for 25th Annual International Conference of Europeanists

The Council of European Studies is currently seeking student volunteers to work alongside them during the International Conference of Europeanists. CES will waive the registration fee and asks for one full day of volunteer effort on the part of each participating volunteer.
