Join us for the next session of the Transnational Approaches of Modern Europe Workshop on Wednesday, January 30, as we welcome Claire Roosien, PhD Candidate in NELK and History. Her paper is entitled “I Dress in Silk and Velvet: Women, Textiles, and the Textile-Text in 1930s Uzbekistan.” Misha Appeltova in History will provide commentary.

Applications are invited for the position of Stuart Ramsay Tompkins Visiting Professor at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This is a nine-month appointment to be held jointly in the Departments of History and Classics, and Modern Languages and Cultural Studies (MLCS, home department for the appointee).
