East Asia: Transregional Histories Workshop CFP for Winter Quarter 2021

logo

Dear colleagues,

This is the East Asia: Transregional Histories Workshop call for proposals for Winter Quarter 2021.

Our workshop welcomes interdisciplinary research focused on East Asia, such as History, EALC, Anthropology, and Political Science. In response to growing interest in transregional scholarship, we would also like to extend an invitation to scholars working on Asia more broadly, whether it be through Eastern bloc socialism, South Asian Pan-asianism, or something else.

If you wish to workshop a paper this Winter, first priority will be given to those who let us know by December 21st. Please respond to this email with a provisional title, an abstract (no more than 250 words), and a sentence about the project type (seminar paper, chapter, article, etc)

The workshop will continue to be held on Zoom. Papers will be distributed one week prior to your workshop date. Workshops typically take place Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM CST, but we are open to making accommodations.

We eagerly await your submissions!

Sincerely,

Stephanie & Niuniu
