Summer Russian instructor position Arizona State University

The Critical Languages Institute at the Melikian Center on the Tempe Campus at Arizona State University invites applications for the position of Faculty Associate. The successful candidate will be expected to teach intensive Russian in summer 2018. This is a part-time appointment. The successful candidates will teach Elementary or Intermediate Russian 4 hours a day, five days a week, for eight weeks and will contribute to cultural programming.

Crossroads Eurasia is now accepting applications for its 2018 summer internship program in Russia.

 

What is Crossroads Eurasia?
Crossroads Eurasia is about living Russia, not just studying it. Students often don’t realize that summer language courses are only one way to immerse themselves in the Russian language and culture. Founded in 2010, Crossroads Eurasia aims to get more students to discover Russia directly, via a work experience -- teaching English, doing translation, or working as a camp counselors.

US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange 2017-2018 Project Competition

The US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange (SEE) is pleased to announce its 2017-2018 project competition. This year, SEE encourages project teams consisting of representatives from at least two organizations (one US and one Russian) to propose bilateral initiatives that promote (1) hands-on learning in the areas of flora and fauna and/or (2) inclusivity for people with disabilities.

 

Velvet Revolutions - Lecture by the Czech Academy of Science Professors

On Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 7 PM, the TGM is hosting a lecture by oral history experts and professors from the Czech Academy of Science. Authors Miroslav Vaněk and Pavel Mücke will present their book "Velvet Revolutions: An Oral History of Czech Society" published last year by the Oxford University Press. It crafts a multi-layered view of Czech society in between 1968 and 2013 and describes the society transformation following the Velvet Revolution through voices of ordinary people.
