Come to the first Yiddish TISH of 2014-2015! 


Yiddish and aspiring Yiddish speakers of all levels are welcome to come enjoy breakfast together this Thursday, October 30th from 9:00-10:00 am in Cobb 500. Come for the chance to speak a little af yidish (in Yiddish). Stop by when you can!

Don't miss this unique opportunity to see the award-winning documentary film called "Winter, Go Away!" (2012) and discuss it with co-director Anna Moiseenko. The film is about the protests in Russia surrounding the rigged 2011 parliamentary elections and 2012 presidential election. We are additionally pleased to announce Dr. Edward Schatz, chair of Political Science at the University of Toronto, as our keynote speaker for this year. US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange fellowship, application deadline, Nov. 23, 2014

Upcoming US-Russia fellowship. The US-Russia Social Expertise Exchange (SEE) is accepting applications at this time for its Emerging Professional Fellowship component.


Candidates must be citizens of either the United States or Russia, have proficiency in both English and Russian, and possess up to five years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas of expertise:


--Child Protection

--Community Development

--Education and Youth

--Gender Equity

--Higher Education
