From Rio de la Plata to the roaring Dnipro River! Treat yourself and your date to a sultry night of tango, wine and romance.
KAIA String Quartet is a Chicago-based ensemble devoted to capturing the essence of Latin American culture through the medium of the string quartet. The first ensemble in residence at WFMT, and a frequent guest at the Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art, KAIA will blend the sounds of alluring tango with folk-inspired Ukrainian classics, promising a magical evening for those who wish to prolong Valentine celebrations into the weekend. The evening features vocals by Nazar Karabinovych, Mark Studieth on the piano and a dance perfomance from the American Tango Institute.
Wine and light snacks will be served at the reception following the performance.
