Join the IOP as we welcome journalist Nick Schifrin for a conversation on Inside Russia, his six-part series for PBS NewsHour. With support from the Pulitzer Center, Mr. Schifrin and Zach Fannin spent nearly two months in Russia investigating the formation of the new Russian national identity, the Russian government’s use of propaganda, and the leadership style of President Vladimir Putin. Presenting excerpts from his series, Mr. Schifrin will then take questions from the audience about his work in Russia and his career in journalism.

Mr. Schifrin is an award-winning special correspondent at PBS NewsHour who has lived overseas since 2007. Previously, he served as Al Jazeera America’s Middle East Correspondent and as a correspondent for ABC News in London, New Delhi, and Afghanistan/Pakistan.

This event is made possible through a partnership with the Pulitzer Center Campus Consortium Network.
