Bohemia on Records offers the first comprehensive overview of recordings produced by American gramophone companies for a growing community of Czech immigrants in the US during the first half of the twentieth century.

 

Filip Šír will talk about his experience establishing the Center for Audio Preservation at the National Museum in Prague. He will cover the history of the Czech Republic's National Sound Archive and introduce his recent work Bohemia on Records: Early Czech Sound Recordings in the USA.
