Manager of Events and Public Programs, Columbus Council on World Affairs

GENERAL SUMMARY:
• Manage all aspects of the organization’s events & Public Programs including planning, budgeting, sales, marketing, implementation, and assessment. These include: a) Signature Luncheons, a bi-monthly distinguished lecture series geared to the professional community; b) International Awards Ceremony, c) Global Scholars Diploma sessions, d) Great Decisions Discussion Groups; c) Special opportunity events.
• Manage the Council’s highest profile and annual fundraising event for 600 – the International Awards Ceremony. Responsibilities include contractual agreements, audiovisual, entertainment, communications, script, event materials, and event logistics.
• Drive the Council’s Membership program – including recruiting and maintaining individual and corporate members; and fulfilling member benefits.
• Support CEO with sponsor relations and organizational marketing including maintaining an updated website, staffing the Board’s Communications Committee, and liaising with the Council’s communications firm.
