You are invited to a free virtual reading of “Insulted. Belarus(sia),” a new play b y Andrei Kureichik, a Belarusian playwright and screenwriter.

The reading will be performed—in English—by a small group of graduate students of the Slavic Department at Harvard in solidarity with the peaceful protests against Aleksandr Lukashenko’s regime in Belarus.
A discussion with the author and the translator will follow.
It is a fascinating example of art “responding” to history-in-the-making in real time and will appeal to anyone interested in Eastern Europe, (post-)Soviet space, and the relationship between art and politics.
