CEERES Graduate-Student Lectureship 2020-2021 Call for Proposals

The Center for East European and Russian/Eurasian Studies invites proposals from University of Chicago PhD students for an undergraduate course to be taught during the Academic Year 2020-2021. This lectureship will provide support for CEERES-focused graduate students at the University of Chicago to design an area studies course related to their research interests.

Columbia University: Postdoctoral Research Scholar Program

The Harriman Institute, Columbia University, invites applications for 1 two-year postdoctoral research scholar position, extending over 2020-21 and 2021-22. Postdoctoral research scholars are expected to concentrate on their own research and writing; to teach a course of their own design in the spring semester of each of the two years; to give a public seminar/lecture on their research; and to be active participants in the Institute’s scholarly community and events. The Institute provides desk space for all postdoctoral research scholars.

About the book: "The Rebelled Body Plays" is a collection of three plays: “Mia”; “Suicidal Dog and Laika”; and “Three as in Tri-Angle, or the Aftertastes of Life.” The same plays appeared in the author's native language, Romanian, last year.
