Academic Bio

Mariya Bobina’s research explores modern developments in southeastern Europe and Russia at the intersection of social and business studies. She has co-authored a book and multiple book chapters, published in the Journal of East European Management Studies, the Bulgarian Studies Journal, the Journal of International Business Studies, the Journal of International Business and Economy, the Thunderbird International Business Review, Venture Capital, the International Journal of Leadership Studies, Journal of Business Diversity,& the Journal of Leadership, Accountability and Ethics, and in top academic journals in Bulgaria and Russia. Mariya Bobina was named a two-time Fulbright Scholar and conducted research at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. She served as an expert at the United Nations and International Labour Organization, and as a country co-investigator in the award-winning 62-societies’ Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness (GLOBE) research project.
