American Councils is pleased to remind everybody that applications for the Advanced Russian Language and Area Studies Program (RLASP) are open for Summer and Fall 2023.
RLASP is offered at two spectacular locations in Almaty, Kazakhstan and Yerevan, Armenia for semester and summer programming. The rigorous academic program includes 20 classroom hours per week with a focus on Russian grammar, phonetics, conversation, reading, and writing. To enhance the academic experience, students are placed with local Russian-speaking host families, participate in weekly cultural activities, and regularly meet with conversation partners. Academic credit is issued through Bryn Mawr College and generous financial aid options are available. A full-time Resident Director from the U.S. accompanies student cohorts throughout the program and is available 24 hours a day for emergency support.
