Funding Opportunity - U.S.-Russia Virtual University Partnerships Program (UniVIP) 2021-22

American Councils for International Education is pleased to announce a request for project proposals for the U.S.-Russia Virtual University Partnerships Program (UniVIP) 2021-22.

Administered by American Councils for International Education, grants of $10,000 will be awarded to U.S. faculty and administrators to launch virtual projects to advance university partnerships with Russian universities. Grants provide resources for administrators, faculty and researchers in the U.S. and Russia to adapt policies, practices, and administrative structures for online teaching and learning, integrate technology solutions, and co-create curriculum for virtual faculty and student exchanges.

Requested funds may cover honoraria, course fees, technology, event hosting, materials and supplies, and other costs to launch and support virtual partnership activity. Awards are expected to begin in January 2022 and projects must be completed by September 30, 2022.

U.S. faculty members and administrators are eligible to apply for partnership awards with Russian institutional partners. Proposed projects may introduce a virtual component to existing U.S.-Russia higher education collaborations or establish new virtual partnership activity. Existing UniVIP partnerships may apply for grants to scale current partnership activity. Applications must demonstrate connection points and commitment from a Russian higher education institution. American Councils will support matchmaking with Russian partners in the network and organize Virtual Partnerships Fair with Russian university representatives on October 26, 2021.

You may download a Sample ApplicationBudget Template, and UniVIP Flyer. To submit an application, complete and submit this online application form. Deadline for applications is Friday, 12 November 2021 05:00 PM EST.
