The Department of Slavic and East European Languages and Cultures at Indiana University, Bloomington invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin in the fall of 2022, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. We seek an individual with expertise in South Slavic literature and culture who is committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate will teach two courses per semester, including the General Education course “Introduction to Balkan and South Slavic Cultures.” Candidates with a Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures or Comparative Literature are preferred, but A.B.D. candidates and candidates from related fields will also be considered.
