REEESNe, a network out of Yale connecting institutions across the Northeast, is holding a webinar next Wednesday, Dec. 7th at 4:30 PM Eastern. Free and open to anyone who registers, it will focus on non-academic professions relating to and/or affected by U.S.-Russian relations and will highlight how graduates of our institutions have navigated the start to their careers in the geopolitically troubled times of the past few years and of the Cold War’s escalation in the early 1980s. Our panel and Q&A with students will feature recent graduates (see below) as well as Roman Popadiuk, the first U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, who entered the Foreign Service in 1981 after completing his advanced degrees at the CUNY Graduate Center, and who will reflect on lessons that students today can draw from that period.
