About the Presentation

Vladimír Dzuro, a war crimes investigator and Czech Police Commissioner, (ret)., will discuss his personal account of war crimes investigations in the former Yugoslavia with a focus on the impact of war propaganda (the use of fake news) in a conflict environment.  Mr. Dzuro will also discuss investigative work on the exhumation of mass graves, identification of victims, and the impact of war crimes on post-conflict reconciliation initiatives.  In addition, he will provide a detailed firsthand account of operation “Little Flower”, a successful secret operation, which resulted in the first arrest of a war criminal indicted by an international tribunal since the end of WWII. Dzuro will be introduced by William Nickell.
