The North East Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (NESEEES) Executive Board invites proposals for individual papers and complete panels for the 44th annual NESEEES conference.
The conference will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia (New York University). Details on the conference format and procedures will be provided to registered participants. The registration fee is $40 ($25 for students).

Summer Institute for the Study of East Central and Southeastern Europe Now Accepting Applications

The American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) is accepting applications for the 2022-23 Summer Institute for the Study of East Central and Southeastern Europe (SISECSE) now through December 1, 2022. In partnership with the Centre for Advanced Study Sofia (CAS), ACLS will convene leading scholars from Eastern Europe and North America for a two-week residency, hosted by the American University in Bulgaria, in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria from June 1 to June 15, 2023.
American Councils is pleased to remind everybody that applications for the Advanced Russian Language and Area Studies Program (RLASP) are open for Summer and Fall 2023. RLASP is offered at two locations in Almaty, Kazakhstan and Yerevan, Armenia.
REEESNe, a network out of Yale connecting institutions across the Northeast, is holding a webinar next Wednesday, Dec. 7th at 4:30 PM Eastern. The University of Kansas is offering beginner’s Ukrainian ONLINE in Spring 2023. UKRA 104: Elementary Ukrainian I is open to both KU and non-KU learners, for college credit (5 credits).
