Hudson Institute Political Studies offers top undergraduates a Summer Fellowship in political theory and practice that broadens and deepens understanding of public policy and classical political thought. The Fellowship combines the rigorous study of theory and practice through week-long seminars led by master teachers, policy workshops featuring think tank experts and experienced government officials, and a distinguished speaker series of exemplary figures from public life. Hudson Institute Political Studies is hosted in Washington, DC, and lasts for six weeks. Students participate free of charge, are given complimentary accommodations, and receive a $3,000 stipend. Applications due MARCH 6.

The Slavic Reference Service (SRS) at the University of Illinois is inviting proposals for the second annual Caucasus Research Forum, taking place on March 30-31st. The theme for this year’s forum is People and Environment. Subthemes include traditional ecological knowledge, environmental protection and policy, climate change, nature and literature, environmental history, and environment and ethnology.

We ask that presenters submit their abstract by March 3, 2023.

On February 24th, 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia has begun a treacherous war with its closest neighbor, Ukrainians. The shared history, the culture, and the people’s relationships were tightly connected and intertwined between the nations. This barbaric war continues to this day, despite all common sense. We are against this war! We demand for the war to be stopped and every war criminal to face justice!
