ARISC Graduate/Postdoctoral Fellowship 2022-23

The American Research Institute of the South Caucasus (ARISC) announces the availability of graduate/postdoctoral fellowships in support of research in the South Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia). During their stay in the South Caucasus, the fellow is expected to give an ARISC-sponsored public presentation on a subject related to their research. The fellow will acknowledge ARISC in any publication that emerges from the research carried out during the fellowship. Funding for this fellowship is provided by ARISC General Funds.

  • We are actively reviewing applications for Chinese, Japanese, and Russian! We encourage you to submit yours as soon as possible.  
  • For German, French, and Spanish (both Spain and Latin America) we will begin reviewing applications January 16, 2023

THE PEARSON INSTITUTE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION FUND The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global Conflicts administers a research and innovation fund that provides grants to faculty and PhD students at the University of Chicago conducting research on global conflict.

The deadline for proposals is Friday, December 16, 2022, at 5:00 pm CT. Decisions will be announced in early 2023.

The Gedvila Family Research Award Fund was established in 2021 in the Division of the Social Sciences.
The purpose of the fund is to support graduate student research focused on the history and culture
of Lithuania, the Baltic States, and/or Eastern Europe. Funding may be used to support research
needs including data collection, travel, data analysis, dissertation support, publications, and projects
that encourage interdisciplinary collaboration.

Hungary Foundation together with Mathias Corvinus Collegium (Budapest, Hungary) is now accepting applications to the 2022/2023 Budapest Fellowship Program. This full-time, fully-funded transatlantic fellowship opportunity in Budapest, Hungary, for young American scholars and professionals will run from September 2022 through July 2023. The deadline for applications is May 27, 2022.
